Fair warning: I'm a cruel ass in this post.
I was going to write a brief note about how this was the only way the interminable Wheel of Time would ever leak whatever remaining credibility it has to its final flat conclusion. But it turns out that Jordan was actually working on the final book of the series -- who knew? I just assumed after the third book he'd keep shamelessly milking his formula until he died. Which I suppose he did.
Perhaps Mercedes Lackey is available to finish the final book from his notes.
